June 12, 2009 Governor Riley Appoints Nicole Gordon Still as Jefferson County Circuit Court Judge MONTGOMERY - Governor Bob Riley has appointed attorney Nicole Gordon Still to serve as Jefferson County Circuit Court Judge. The judgeship became vacant on June 1 when Judge Allwin E. Horn, III retired. Still is an attorney with the Birmingham law firm of Gordon, Dana, Still, Knight and Gilmore. She has 11 years experience representing clients in general corporate and civil litigation matters, with an emphasis on business, construction and employment law. She received her law degree in 1997 from the University of Alabama School of Law and her bachelors degree from the University of Southern California in 1993. Nicole Still is well qualified to serve and I believe she will do a good job, said Governor Riley. Still was one of three finalists chosen by the Jefferson County Judicial Commission and forwarded to Governor Riley for his consideration and appointment. | |
